monkey business

Another wonderful party by our friends, Tara and Larry. They do such a great job. This party was for their one year old daughter. A delightful monkey theme.
Some monkey cups as favors. My kids loved them. They had to use them at dinnertime tonight!

Some yummy monkey cupcakes. The frosting was awesome!

Some make-your-own banana splits. The kids had fun with chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, sprinkles, cherries, whipped cream and of course bananas!
Here is the goodies display. They had little packages of whoopers because they looked like mini coconuts, banana runts, banana split neccos, monkey labeled waters, the monkey cupcakes and monkey cups. I loved the grass skirt around the table and the googly-eye monkeys nearby. Oh and their three kids all wore Paul Frank monkey shirts from Target.
Some monkey games, the kids made their own monkey names: silly monkey, funky monkey, little girl monkey and so on.
My little boy monkey swinging on the swings.
And this would be my oldest monkey, swinging as well.

Even the littlest ones got in on the fun.

Barrel of Monkeys race with bubbles for the winners.
I feel lucky to have such inspirational friends. I cannot wait to see what they do for their next party!
