tiny apple pies
I made some tasty tiny muffin tin apple pies. Tiny things are always adorable!
I used premade crust. It is way easier. I cut 4" circles from a giant coffee cup. Grease 12 muffin tins and shaped the crust into the shape of bowls.
The filling:
4-5 medium apples peeled and chopped
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
6 tablespoons flour
2 TBS. butter (chilled)
Mix up the filling (everything but the butter) and fill the cups. Cut up the butter into 12 piece and top each of the pies. Use the extra crust to make lattice or shapes on top of the mini pies.
Bake at 425 for 16-18 minutes or until the crust is golden and the apples are bubbly.
Cool a bit and lift them from the muffin tins.
I made these tonight and they are GONE! The kids like them with RediWhip or Ice-Cream.
