Children run down Lombard St. also known as 'The World's Crookedest Street' in San Francisco, Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009. Lombard St. was transformed into a gigantic Candy Land board game to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the game. The Candy Land board game was designed by Eleanor Abbott while she recovered from polio in the 1940's. The game consists of a winding, linear track of 134 spaces. It is built around a simple story line about finding the lost king of Candy Land.
